We’ve developed a careful search and screening process that far exceeds the industry standard to ensure your caregiver is qualified and experienced with no concerning hidden background issues. We walk you through our entire placement process and answer any questions you may have along the way. Step 1
Family completes the Family Application
Carolinas Newborn Care sends contract and invoice to family.
Step 2
Family signs contract and pays invoice
CNC schedules a phone consultation with the family at the family’s convenience, to go over the specifics of the position.
Step 3
A job custom job description is created and sent to the family for approval.
Step 4
Family makes changes and/or approves job description.
Job description is posted, and the search begins!
Step 5
CNC pre-screens candidates and holds phone and in person interviews.
Step 6
CNC sends the family resumes and profiles of each candidate who has passed the pre-screening process
Step 7
The family notifies CNC of which candidates they would like to meet. CNC coordinates and confirms interviews with candidates to meet the family.
Step 8
The family notifies CNC of which candidate they wish to hire.
CNC sends the family a contract template and starts background check and reference check process.
Step 9
The family calls the candidate to make a verbal offer.
CNC reports back to the family with all information gathered in background and reference checks.
Step 10
The Family completes the contract with information specific to their needs and benefits offered.
Step 11
The family sends completed contract to the candidate for signing and notifies CNC when the contract has been signed by their new employee. (The nanny is employed by and paid directly by you, the family.)
Step 12
Invoice for placement fee is sent and completed by the family.
From here, Carolinas Newborn Care is here for you to help set up payroll and to ensure everything runs smoothly leading up to your nanny’s start date. If anything should happen during the first 30 days of employment (if its not a great fit or if the nanny changes their mind, moves away etc.) CNC will start a new search for additional candidates at no additional cost.

Once you have submitted the Family Application, you will be sent an invoice for the $250 non-refundable registration fee. Additionally, we will email you a Family Agreement to read over and sign if you chose to move forward.
We will then reach out to schedule your phone consultation to discuss the specifics of your job description. There is an additional Placement Fee that will be invoiced when you are ready to hire your nanny. (Please see Service Fees above for more detailed information.)
